Lesson #7 Use of Digital Channels for collaborative work. Theory and PRACTICE

Today we learned about digital channels to use in order to collaborate and interact with others online. Digital collaboration deals with software that creates digital media to share ideas, documents, images, etc. The chosen software depends on the type of collaborative project that is undertaken.
We learned about the different tools that exist and the roles that we can have. This is taken from the classroom slides:
We spoke about the concept of live streaming. Different tools can be used such as: Skype, Go To Meeting, Zoom, Google hangouts, Youtube live, Twitch, for example. Social networks are also used such as: Facebook lives, periscope IG lives, etc.

We also spoke about collaborative documents and also forums which are an online discussion site where people can hold conversations in the form of posted messages. Depending on the access level there can be a moderator or a creator of a forum.
There are also chats and blogs that we are very used tu using.

Today's practical task consisted of both posting an opinion in a classroom forum in our Virtual Campus. Also we created a wiki on our university platform.

But What is a wiki? It is quite well explained here. A wiki is a collaborative tool that allows students to contribute and modify one or more pages of course related materials. Wikis are collaborative in nature and facilitate community-building within a course. Essentially, a wiki is a web page with an open-editing system.

This is part of what we have created today in our workgroup which is #7. We uploaded an image and edited some text in Creole. We learned how to type in letters in bold, itallics.
