  This is our last lesson and it involves Personal Protection and Data protection . It is one of the most important issues to consider when using any kind of device. As educators we will have an important role and our knowledge on internet safety is essential. Also it must be constinously updated due to rapid changes in internet use and behaviour. Here are some guidelines to keep our navigating space safe We should always be on guard. Some elements to bear in mind are the following to keep track of the security in our devices: 1. Control measures : •Device access: Unlock code, facial recognition, visual pattern, fingerprint. •Shared data: Bluetooth, manage location •Remote in case of theft or loss •External memory 2. Lesson #9 DAY 1 PRACTICE Using Gimp and MyApps university server

We used MyApps which is a cloud that is provided by our university URJC . There are many programmes that we can use without installing them on our computer by entering the cloud and using them as remote desktop software that we can make use of from any computer. We also have 10GB storage space to save our university documents and access them remotely. Using GIMP. What is it? GIMP is an acronym for GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed program for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. We had to edit several photos, change the program icon and this is the result: Photograph #1 : We wrote text, moved it, drew with pencil and paintbrush using different widths and textures, changed the colour and added a filter to the background photograph. In this lesson we first learned about the difference between Digital Multimedia and Interactive Multimedia . On the Britannica Encyclopedia I found a definition that helps me understand them use in terms of user experience : "Interactive media , also called interactive multimedia , any computer-delivered electronic system that allows the user to control, combine, and manipulate different types of media, such as text, sound, video, computer graphics , and animation . Interactive media integrate computer, memory storage, digital (binary) data, telephone, television, and other information technologies. Their most common applications include training programs , video games, electronic encyclopaedias, and travel guides. Interactive media shift the user’s role from observer to participant and are considered the next generation of electronic information systems. In this lesson we learned about the concept of Netiquette. It is the short term for "Internet etiquette ”. Netiquette is a code of good behavior on the Internet for emailing, social media, online chats ( Instant Messenger Services ), forums , website or news site comments , etc. There are two fundamental milestones in the history of style rules: The RFC 1855 document ( Request for Comments 1855) of 1995. This document was the first reference regarding rules of etiquette for the Internet.   NETiquette , by Virginia Shea 1994 . Lesson #7 Use of Digital Channels for collaborative work. Theory and PRACTICE

Today we learned about digital channels to use in order to collaborate and interact with others online. Digital collaboration deals with software that creates digital media to share ideas, documents, images, etc . The chosen software depends on the type of collaborative project that is undertaken. We learned about the different tools that exist and the roles that we can have. This is taken from the classroom slides: We spoke about the concept of live streaming. Different tools can be used such as: Skype, Go To Meeting , Zoom, Google hangouts , Youtube live , Twitch , for example. Social networks are also used such as: Facebook lives , periscope IG lives , etc. We also spoke about collaborative documents and also forums which are an online discussion site where people can hold conversations in the form of posted messages.
